This is just a reminder that I’ll be teaching my new mokume gane technique at Creative Journey Studiosin Buford, GA (near Atlanta) in just over a week. I’ve been experimenting with this technique for over a year and have only introduced it to the public in one workshop in Colorado (outside of my studio classes).
These are just a few of the ways I’ve been using this technique.

The technique uses only metalic/pearlescent clay along with black, and occasionally white. I would have taught it sooner but Polyform made major changes in their line of metallic/pearlescent clays and I had to experiment all over again. It took quite a while to get used to the differences, but now I’m happy with my results.
This workshop will focus on leaves, but as you can see, there are lots of other things on could do with the technique.
As an added bonus, we’ll be using my new polymer clay slicer! Hope you can join me. I won’t be teaching this workshop again until Europe in the fall.
